Move over Montreal, Portland and other contenders as Vancouver now claims a 10% modal share for cycling trips to work!  Right off the bat, let me acknowledge that Vancouver is not Brockville. There, done.  However, we all understand that big cities are just collections of smaller communities within their borders, with an overarching set of bigger problems and budgets to tackle them.  And that gives them capacity to engage, educate, experiment, evaluate and emerge as leaders from whom we can learn! Read through this article from Portland’s cycling blog, relating all the good news from Vancouver these days.
